Our opinion on the 2004 vintage: a vintage saved by a beautiful late season. In Bordeaux, the year had a bad start with unstable weather conditions, but the weather was particularly mild in September, which helped save the harvests. The 2004 Bordeaux red wines are classic and of good quality. While the Bordeaux white wines are fresher and fruitier. Burgundy also suffered from very difficult weather conditions. It's worth noting that the white wines are more successful than the red wines, with fresh, balanced and floral wines.

In the Rhône Valley, the red wines are pleasant and good. The Cornas and Hermitage appellations are suitable for long-term ageing.

Finally, in Champagne, it's considered a good vintage with a good yield. This year, the winning grape variety is Chardonnay, which stands out for its many successes.
