Domaine Leflaive

Domaine Leflaive

Domaine Leflaive produces Burgundy wines and was founded in 1920 by Joseph Leflaive. Initially, he sold his wines to friends and gradually built up a private clientele. After his death in 1953, Domaine Leflaive was managed by his four children.

In 1990, Anne-Claude Leflaive managed the estate with Olivier Leflaive, who left the company in 1994 to focus on his own wine merchant business. Today, Anne-Claude Leflaive has full responsibility for the estate, which owes its transition to biodynamic cultivation to her, aiming to reduce yields and elevate the quality of the already magnificent wines to even greater heights.

The Domaine produces Burgundy Premier Crus and Burgundy Grand Crus. Through the selection of crus, the significant size of the plots, and the absolute certainty of style, Domaine Leflaive is the white wine equivalent of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, which is to say the absolute reference in terms of quality.
