The best wines of this vintage are: Château Lafite Rothschild 1920, Château Latour 1920, Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Cheval Blanc. In the Sauternes region, there were beautiful successes such as Château d'Yquem 1920: fine, rich and unctuous. 1920 marks a good start for Burgundy's best decade. However, the region experienced some bad weather during the year. The harvest took place in good conditions but resulted in a low yield. The greatest estates produced balanced and fruity red wines. The Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin and Chambolle Musigny appellations stand out with superior quality wines.
