Clos des Lambrays Appellation
The Clos des Lambrays Appellation
The Clos des Lambrays appellation is a French AOC that produces Burgundy wines. It is also a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO). Clos des Lambrays is a Burgundy Grand Cru.
Recognized since 1981, the Clos des Lambrays appellation is located in the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis in the Côte de Nuits wine region of Burgundy. The vineyard covers nearly 7 hectares and produces a single grape variety: Pinot Noir. The wines of the Clos des Lambrays appellation have an elegant and brilliant appearance. On the nose, the wines are fine and delicate, with floral and fruity notes present on the palate. The wines of this appellation are renowned for their good ageing potential: 10 to 20 years on average and over 30 to 50 years for the greatest vintages.
