2019 Wine

The 2019 vintage is of very high quality across all major wine-growing regions. 

In Bordeaux, vintages ending in '9' are known for being very successful. 2019 is no exception to this tradition, with a vintage that is both high in quality and quantity. The 2019 red wines are among the great vintages, alongside 2015 and 2016. Rich and intense, most of the red wines have aromas of black fruits. The best 2019 wines in Bordeaux are from the right bank. We recommend Château Cheval Blanc 2019, Château Ausone 2019... Despite low yields, the sweet wines from Sauternes are satisfactory. Fresh, harmonious, intense, without excessive richness, the wines are very similar to the 2015 vintage.

In Burgundy, the 2019 vintage is considered to be of good quality. Despite a complicated flowering period with some frost in April, the fine summer weather allowed for good grape ripening. The 2019 red Burgundy wines are very fruity and floral with some spicy notes. We recommend the Armand Rousseau Clos des Ruchottes 2019.

The 2019 vintage offers very solar wines from the Rhône Valley. Lovely freshness, great balance and finesse are the characteristics of the 2019 Rhône wines.
