Les vins du millésime 2015 sont généralement riches, mûrs et fruités. Ils possèdent une belle concentration et des tanins bien intégrés. Beaucoup de vins sont accessibles et agréables à boire dans leur jeunesse, mais ils ont aussi un bon potentiel de garde. 

Dans quelles régions le vin du millésime 2015 a été le mieux réussi ?

Le millésime 2015 a été particulièrement réussi dans la région de Bordeaux, notamment la Rive droite où les merlots ont bénéficié de conditions idéales, donnant des vins riches, suaves, et d’une grande profondeur. La région Bourgogne a donné naissance à des vins rouges concentrés, élégants, avec une belle expression fruitée et un excellent équilibre. Enfin la Vallée du Rhône a été également une très belle réussite où les syrahs sont puissants et profonds, avec beaucoup de fraîcheur et de finesse.

Ce sont les trois régions où les conditions climatiques ont permis une maturité optimale des raisins, donnant naissance à des vins d’exception.

Est-ce que les vins du millésime 2015 sont des vins de garde ?

Le millésime 2015 est considéré comme excellent dans de nombreuses régions viticoles françaises, notamment à Bordeaux, en Bourgogne et dans le Rhône. Grâce à des conditions climatiques idéales, les vins rouges de cette année présentent structure, richesse et équilibre, leur offrant un très bon potentiel de garde (10 à 30 ans selon les régions et les domaines). Les blancs et les champagnes sont également réussis, avec une capacité de vieillissement plus modérée.

A mild spring and a hot summer, punctuated by cool nights, allowed for perfect grape ripeness while retaining a lovely acidity. Throughout France, we find deep, harmonious 2015 red wines destined for long ageing, as well as generous, elegant and well-balanced 2015 white wines.

Thanks to this sun-drenched yet balanced profile, every great 2015 wine combines aromatic intensity, structure and exceptional ageing potential. Whether one seeks an opulent 2015 red wine from Bordeaux, a distinguished 2015 Burgundy, a powerful 2015 Rhône or an elegant vintage Champagne, this vintage offers bottles capable of spanning the decades.

Bordeaux 2015 — The Right Bank and Margaux at the pinnacle of a ripe year

In Bordeaux, 2015 marks the return of a great ripe and charming vintage, yet its success is best read on the map. The Right Bank, in Pomerol and Saint-Émilion, yielded opulent and velvety Merlots, while the Margaux appellation, spared the rains that more heavily affected the northern Médoc, delivers the finest achievement on the Left Bank. Pessac-Léognan followed closely, with dense and fresh reds. Further north, Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe prove more heterogeneous, slightly less chiselled than in the most classic years, and call for careful selection. The Sauternais, meanwhile, benefited from a fine autumn to produce sweet wines of beautiful richness.

In Saint-Julien, Château Léoville Poyferré delivers a deep and distinguished wine with a tightly woven tannic structure and vibrant fruit, while Château Beychevelle seduces with its velvety texture and immediate balance. In the Sauternais, Château de Fargues concentrates a luscious liqueur enhanced by an acidity that guarantees its longevity. These bottles illustrate the two faces of the year in Bordeaux: the structure of the great reds built for ageing and the depth of the sweet wines.

Burgundy 2015 — Dense, full-bodied reds in the Côte de Nuits

In Burgundy, 2015 is above all a year of great reds. The heat and drought of the summer yielded thick-skinned, highly concentrated grapes, resulting in dense, deeply coloured and generous wines with ripe tannins and remarkable depth. The Côte de Nuits, with Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny and Vosne-Romanée, lies at the heart of the success. The whites, more delicate to balance in the heat, required harvesting at precisely the right moment to preserve their acidity; the finest, notably in Chablis, retain a lovely tension. La Revue du Vin de France ranks 2015 among the great recent vintages of the Côte de Nuits.

In Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Armand Rousseau crafts reds of rare length and nobility, where the power of the vintage remains clothed in finesse. In Chambolle-Musigny, Domaine Georges Roumier channels all the sap of the vintage into its Les Cras cuvée, with a silky tannic grain and great aromatic precision. These two references show how the finest estates transformed the concentration of 2015 into depth rather than heaviness.

Rhône Valley 2015 

The 2015 Rhône wines are unanimously acclaimed, particularly in the north, where Syrah reached exceptional maturity. The 2015 Côte-Rôtie, 2015 Hermitage and 2015 Cornas reveal rare depth, dense yet fine tannins and the ability to age for several decades. In the south, 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape shows richly, with sun-drenched 2015 red wines displaying spiced, Mediterranean notes and surprising balance.
