• The Pauillac 2006, Saint-Julien and major Saint-Émilion wines can still be kept for 10 to 15 years.
• The red wines from Vosne-Romanée 2006 or Gevrey-Chambertin 2006 can still be kept for 5 to 10 years.

Store your bottles of 2006 wine lying down, at 12-14°C, in a dark, humid place (around 70%) without vibrations. Champagnes from 2006 benefit from the same precautions to maintain their freshness and mousse.
Buying a 2006 wine from SoDivin guarantees rigorously selected, expertised and stored bottles in optimal conditions (controlled temperature, stable humidity). Each great wine from 2006 is checked for bottle condition, namely: its level, label and authenticity before being put on sale.
The 2006 vintage in France was marked by contrasting weather that tested the winemakers' expertise. After a cold and dry winter, spring arrived early and favoured beautiful flowering. Summer was irregular, with a very hot July followed by a wetter August, before a magnificent September, dry and sunny, which allowed the grapes to reach optimal maturity on the finest terroirs. The result: elegant, balanced great 2006 wines, often ready to drink but endowed with real ageing potential for the finest crus.
In Bordeaux, the 2006 vintage recalls in its style certain classic ageing vintages. The Cabernet Sauvignons are particularly successful on the left bank, offering elegant 2006 wines, with pure black fruit and fine tannins. The finest estates took advantage of the beautiful September to harvest serenely, producing wines in a very Bordeaux style, balanced, with refreshing acidity and ageing potential of 15 to 25 years for the first growths.
The 2006 wines from Pauillac stand out for their depth and graphite notes; Saint-Julien 2006 is refined and charming, perfect now but still promising; Margaux 2006 shines with its floral finesse. On the right bank, Pomerol 2006 wines are rich and sensual, with concentrated yet balanced Merlot, while Saint-Émilion 2006 offers serious, tender and fruity 2006 wines, sometimes already very pleasant.
Some iconic Bordeaux 2006 wines:
Château Lafite Rothschild 2006, Mouton Rothschild 2006, Château Margaux 2006, Château Latour 2006, Haut-Brion 2006, Cheval Blanc 2006, Ausone 2006, Petrus 2006, Léoville Las Cases 2006, Angélus 2006, Château Montrose 2006.
The 2006 vintage in Burgundy benefited from a saving Indian summer. After an early spring and some summer rains, a dry and bright September allowed for the harvest of healthy and ripe grapes. The 2006 red wines from the Côte de Nuits are supple, elegant and fruity, whilst retaining a beautiful structure for longevity. Gevrey-Chambertin 2006 expresses its mineral depth and refined tannins; Vosne-Romanée 2006 charms with its spicy notes and velvety texture; Chambolle-Musigny 2006 seduces with its floral finesse.
In the Côte de Beaune, reds such as Pommard 2006 or Volnay 2006 are flavourful and well-balanced. But it is above all the 2006 white wines that shine: Meursault 2006, Puligny-Montrachet 2006 and Chassagne-Montrachet 2006 stand out for their amplitude, richness and an acidity that magnificently supports ageing. The Chablis Grand Cru 2006 (Les Clos, Valmur, Vaudésir) combine power, minerality and gourmet charm.
Some iconic Burgundy 2006 wines:
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (Romanée-Conti 2006, La Tâche 2006, Richebourg 2006, Echezeaux 2006 and Grands Echezeaux 2006), Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin 2006, Domaine Leroy Musigny 2006, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny 2006, Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet 2006, Coche-Dury Meursault 2006, Raveneau Chablis Les Clos 2006, Dauvissat Chablis Les Preuses 2006.
In the Rhône Valley, the vintage produced particularly successful 2006 wines. In the northern Rhône, Syrah reached remarkable maturity, yielding 2006 wines that are both powerful and balanced. The Hermitage 2006 from emblematic producers such as Jean-Louis Chave or Chapoutier display deep fruit, velvety tannins and superb ageing potential. The Côte-Rôtie 2006 — notably Guigal's legendary cuvées — offer smoky, floral and peppery elegance, with a refined mouthfeel.
In the southern Rhône, the heat produced rich and generous Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2006, with ripe Grenache and silky texture, whilst maintaining a pleasant balance thanks to the cool September nights. These wines are accessible but will age very well.
Some iconic Rhône 2006 wines:
Guigal La Landonne 2006, La Mouline 2006 and La Turque 2006, Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage 2006, Chapoutier L'Ermite 2006, Rayas 2006 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Henri Bonneau Réserve des Célestins 2006 and Clos Saint Jean Deus ex machina 2006.
The 2006 vintage in Champagne is considered very great, often compared to 2002 for its balance. The year offered beautiful Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that were ripe yet fresh, thanks to a healthy harvest and generally dry weather at the end of summer. The 2006 Champagnes combine amplitude, creamy texture and fine acidity that promises a long cellar life.
Some legendary 2006 Champagnes:
Dom Pérignon 2006, Krug Vintage 2006, Cristal Roederer 2006, Bollinger La Grande Année, Salon 2006, Taittinger Comtes de Champagne, Jacques Selosse 2006.
