The wines of 1992 are satisfactory but the 1992 vintage remains uneven. In Bordeaux in 1992, weather conditions greatly complicated matters with a hot and humid August and a rainy September, resulting in an abundant harvest but at the expense of concentration. However, the most successful wines remain Château Mouton Rothschild 1992, Château Haut Brion 1992, Château Rauzan Ségla 1992 and Château Lafleur 1992. It is the Burgundy wines that stand out in 1992, particularly the white wines with their beautiful aromatic expression. The Pommard and Volnay appellations are of superior quality. In the Rhône, the weather plays a role and the southern part proves to be much better, such as the Guigal La Landonne 1992.
