Château Figeac is a Bordeaux wine estate located in the commune of Saint-Emilion. Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the official Saint-Emilion classification, it is one of the most influential châteaux in the appellation. With its château, exceptional wine-growing terroir and remarkable natural areas, the estate is considered the true 'green lung' of Saint-Émilion. Since the 1945 vintage, the Château has also produced a second wine created by Thierry Manoncourt and renamed 'Le Petit Figeac' from the 2012 vintage onwards.
The wines of Château Figeac have excellent ageing potential. The most outstanding vintages are 1961, the Château Figeac 1982 and the 1985 vintage. We also recommend Château Figeac 1990, Figeac 1995 and Figeac 1996. More recent vintages of Château Figeac show greater power, roundness and fruity notes, such as the 2000 vintage, Château Figeac 2005 and Figeac, which are spectacular.

"I wish to share with you my impressions, to express frankly the pleasures that the wines of Chateau Figeac give me when tasted on site, vintage after vintage. They share a characteristic elegance, the result of the very particular terroir, the high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend, and the choices of the men who, together, have made or make Figeac. But they also play on a rich palette and each year a unique combination is created. Many wines for ageing, which is still one of Figeac's characteristics, but also wines that are pleasant to drink young with well-integrated tannins." Count Eric d'Aramon, General Manager of Château Figeac.
