(01-2015) Dark ruby. So complex, layered, rich and spicy . More complete than the 1989 and 1990 vintages in this tasting. Fresh finish. No dried fruit on the finish. Very complete and fine. Zest and ripeness. Approachable but not yet fully evolved . A very good bottle.

The fully mature 1982 offers a profoundly complex nose of cedar, smoky tobaccocigar box, dried herbs, black currants, licorice, and spice. In the mouth, the wine does not reveal the huge volume and roasted ripeness found in many of the top 1982s, but it does possess extraordinary complexity, finesse, and harmony. Medium-bodied, with gorgeously rich fruit, this delicate, subtle, ethereal effort is both well-defined and intense. It should continue to drink well for 7-10 years, possibly longer.

Figeac
Chateau Figeac - Premier grand cru Saint-Emilion class. "I want to give you my impressions, frankly express the pleasure that give me the wines of Chateau Figeac tasted on the spot, vintage after vintage. They share a characteristic elegance, fruit of the particular terroir, the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon''very''and choice of men who together have been or are the Figeac. But they also play on a rich palette and each year he creates a unique combination. Many wine storage is still a feature of Figeac, but also pleasant to drink young wines with tannins well blended. The vintages of Chateau Figeac latest show more power, roundness and fruity. And regularly, Figeac gives us great feelings ". Count Eric d'Aramon, CEO of Chateau Figeac.
