The Château Pontet Canet is a french estate of Bordeaux region. Historically, the wines at Pontet-Canet belong to the legend of the Medoc. The vineyard has 80 hectares located on the heart of Pauillac appellation, near to the Château Mouton Rothschild. Pontet Canet is a fifth cru classé of Médoc classification in 1855. The estate produces also a second wine ‘Les Hauts de Pontet-Canet‘. The Château Pontet Canet is one on the first estate in Bordeaux to pass in Bio and Biodynamie with the obtention of labels. In 2010 with the label Biodyvin and in 2014 with the other label Demeter. Now, Pontet Canet is an exeample for the others great Châteaux in Bordeaux.
The best wines of Château Pontet Canet are the vintages 1945, 1947, the Pontet Canet 1985 and the Pontet Canet 1990. We suggest, the Château Pontet Canet 1989, Château Pontet Canet 1991 and Château Pontet Canet 2000.

Deep ruby, purple, sometimes black, Pontet-Canet wine develops a characteristic nose with a mix of black fruit, especially blackcurrants, licorice, plum, hints of figs, cedar and some cocoa. At the tasting, the wine combines power and elegance, density and amplitude. From a muscular nature, it imposes a sense of serene classicism with the tannic structure that reveals a long and peaceful custody.
