The Premiers Crus of Burgundy occupy an essential place in the hierarchy of Burgundian wines. Representing approximately 10% of regional production, they come from exceptional parcels situated in the heart of village appellations, recognised for the superior quality of their terroir. Each Premier Cru combines the name of its climat with that of its appellation, such as Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru or Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru.
