1962, an exceptional vintage. In Bordeaux, the harvest was abundant and of high quality. The Médoc produced outstanding wines, notably the Château Latour 1962 which is exceptional. In other appellations, we recommend Château Haut Brion 1962, Château Léoville Las Cases 1962 and Montrose 1962. 1962 is a great year for Sauternes sweet wines. This is evidenced by the unparalleled Château d'Yquem 1962. The 1962 wines from Burgundy are excellent. The red wines are powerful and full-bodied. The Chambertin Grand Cru and Richebourg appellations produced very successful grand crus. In the Rhône, the 1962 vintage is of good quality, particularly in the Côte Rôtie and Hermitage appellations.
