Château Canon La Gaffelière is a Bordeaux wine estate. The Château is located on the right bank and borders the Dordogne. Certified organic since 2014, today the vineyard covers nearly 20 hectares in the Saint Emilion AOC. Château Canon La Gaffelière is a Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé B. The grand vin is elegant, complex and structured with aromas of blackcurrant and cherry. In addition to the grand cru classé, the estate produces a second wine called 'Côte Mignon La Gaffelière'. Lighter, it is less powerful than the grand vin and has an aging potential of 5 to 8 years.
The greatest vintages of the Château are: 1945, 1961 and the 1980 vintage. We also recommend Château Canon La Gaffelière 1982, Canon La Gaffelière 1985, Canon La Gaffelière 1990 as well as Canon La Gaffelière 2005 and 2009.

German Stephan von Neipperg has spared no expense to restore this château to its former glory in the post-World War II years. Cultivation has become more rigorous, yields have been significantly reduced, and vinification has taken modern paths, giving the wines remarkable concentration. The château also produces a very expensive and highly sought-after wine outside the appellation, Mondotte.
