Unfavourable weather conditions dominated much of the growing season, leading to complicated harvests and 1965 wines that, overall, lacked the depth, concentration and ageing potential found in great vintages. In Bordeaux, 1965 was unfortunately not a memorable year for 1965 wine. An overall difficult year due to temperature variations and rainy weather.
