The house of Gelas et Fils has a selection of Armagnacs that was initiated by Pierre Gélas 60 years ago. These are blends that are either reduced to 40% ABV or left at their natural strength, and filtered before bottling. Through his experience and knowledge of different terroirs, he has been able to establish a choice of very varied eaux-de-vie. The grand principle, innovative at the time, was to bottle the eaux-de-vie straight from the cask, that is to say at their ageing strength and without filtration. For some batches, the bottling dates are very old. The house of Gelas et Fils offers eaux-de-vie at a moment deemed optimal for their ageing.
