Our opinion on the 1904 vintage: a truly great vintage. The 1904 wines are considered a truly great vintage. In some regions, the harvest was abundant and the weather conditions were excellent, which allowed for the production of high-quality wines.

In Bordeaux, the 1904 vintage is of very good quality. The red wines of Bordeaux as well as the Burgundy wines are particularly renowned for their richness, aromatic complexity and exceptional ageing potential. The white wines are also often very successful, with a beautiful freshness and great aromatic finesse. In Sauternes, the wines are powerful and still delicious. Endowed with good acidity and substantial body, they reveal notes of caramel and crème brûlée.

Rich in every aspect, this was the first great year of the century in the Rhône Valley. The weather conditions were particularly favourable that year, with a mild spring and beautiful flowering, followed by a hot and dry summer. The grapes were thus able to ripen in optimal conditions, which allowed the production of rich and concentrated wines, with a beautiful aromatic complexity and great finesse on the palate.

In Champagne, the 1904 vintage is of very good quality. With perfect weather conditions, the Champagnes are excellent, lively and flavourful.
