Château Branaire Ducru is a Fourth Growth (official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification) from the Saint-Julien appellation in Médoc. The vineyard extends over nearly 60 hectares of vines. Château Branaire-Ducru is now one of Saint Julien's jewels. It is highly sought after for its very pure red fruit. Its typical composition of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, opens with bright aromas of raspberry and blackberry, before becoming more complex on the palate with delicate nuances of mineral, pencil lead, smoke and spring flowers... The Château also produces a second wine: Duluc de Branaire Ducru.

We suggest Château Branaire Ducru 1975, Château Branaire Ducru 1982 and 1989. We also recommend Château Brainaire Ducru 1995 and Château Branaire Ducru 1996. Finally, Château Brainaire Ducru 2002 and 2005 are also exceptional; just like Branaire Ducru 2009, as well as the 2010 and 2015 vintages which are great vintages.
