Jean-Marc Quarin October - 1995
Jean-Marc Quarin
Bordeaux red colour. Brown reflections. Medium intensity. Nose of medium intensity. Leather and fruit. Soft attack developing on a medium-bodied structure, slightly hollow in the mid-palate. The fruit is lacking in the evolution. We finish with wood and a green aspect. Bitter touch. Simple.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
Talbot's 1992 reveals an exotic nose of jammy black-cherries, truffles, licorice, and smoky, herbal scents. Following the extroverted bouquet, the wine offers a medium-bodied, supple, juicy, succulent style with low acidity and plenty of ripe fruit.

Château Talbot
Château Talbot

At Château Talbot, wine combines past and future. Respect for traditions and technological evolution live in perfect harmony. From the alliance of techniques, terroir and the people who passionately work the land, wines of character, harmony and complexity are born. In twenty years, it has become one of the most sought-after wines in the Bordeaux region. It is undeniable that Talbot is one of the most famous growths of the Médoc. This excellent reputation is undoubtedly due to a mysterious combination of several factors: the size of its vineyard, nearly one hundred hectares, the consistency of its wine, in the same family for nearly a century, the name Talbot - short and striking, easy to pronounce in all languages and part of our history... But what primarily makes Talbot popular is the wonderful nature of its wine. "Talbot embodies for many the ideal of Saint Julien, generously bouqueted, very stable and reliable in aging" emphasize Bettane and Desseauve in their Grand Guide des Vins de France. Indeed, Talbot is a champion of longevity, which doesn't prevent it from being pleasant and round even in its earliest youth, always marked by silky and smooth, very civilized tannins. Talbot has an extroverted nature, it is never withdrawn, and has the courtesy to be in good spirits every day. It is a refined wine, with its complex notes of havana and licorice, deliciously classic without ever being austere.
