What a great positive surprise. This had notes of beef roast, gravy, Icelandic moss candy. No green and unripe notes that you'd expect from such a terrible vintage and a particularly bad example of that vintage. I had this wine before in terrible shape, but this was actually a really good Bordeaux. I have no clue how, but it was delicious.

Garnet red colour. Evolved on the edge. Light intensity. Nose dominated by an animal nuance of leather. On swirling more intense. A bit more fruit. Needs air. Soft attack developing on a light structure which marks a hollow in the mid-palate then evolves sapid in delicacy, as the cru knows how to do, towards a finish with melted tannicity and subtly woody aromas. Medium persistence. Light and very pleasant wine with nobility in the aromas.
