Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Likable, easy to drink, delicate and mature, with soft red fruits, earth, tobacco and cedar, there is no reason to age this any longer.

Slightly evolved colour. Fruity nose of the ripe type, pleasant and somewhat simple. Caressing mouth, well constructed, but lacking the mid-palate of the previous wines and that of Issan served alongside. Good savoury finish.

Aromas of currant and mineral, with hints of toasty oak. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a medium finish. Slightly hollow midpalate. The second wine of Palmer.

A great year where we were able to select special blocks for Alter Ego', says Bernard. Half Cabernet, half Merlot. Ripe, bright red fruit dominated nose with nice purity and some minerality. There's a bit of chocolatey richness. Nice pure fruit on the palate with good acidity keeping things fresh. Smooth but firm tannins.

Château Palmer
Château Palmer

Château Palmer is a wine estate located in Gironde. In the Margaux AOC, it is classified as a third grand cru in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

Château Palmer, a grand cru, is a matter of origin in both time and space. The style of Château Palmer, rooted in history and dedicated to expressing its terroir, transcends fashions and trends. To experience its timelessness, there is no better way than to taste it.

The wines of Château Palmer reveal a bouquet of extraordinary complexity where fruits, flowers, and spices mingle, wrapped in a fleshy and generous structure. This subtle balance between aromatic richness and tannin power, always restrained, makes it a wine of incomparable charm from its youngest age. Its persistence leaves a haunting memory of mixed sensations and emotions.

The best vintages of Château Palmer are 1962, 1971, 1975, 1985, 1989, 1995, 1996, 2004, 2011...
