expert's opinions
One of the wines of the vintage is unquestionably the 2006 Hermitage les Bessards, which comes from one of the greatest terroirs for Syrah in the world. Still youthful and vibrant, with those classic graphite and crushed rock characteristics that define this cuvee, as well as loads of black fruits, toasted spice and dried flowers, this beauty is full-bodied, uber-concentrated and gorgeously pure. It's still 4-5 years away from full maturity, and is going to keep for 2-3 decades.

Plush and smoky, with bacon, braised fig, tobacco and loam notes wrapped around a core of crushed black currant fruit. Shows some muscle on the finish, with sanguine and coffee notes weaving in and out.

Château informations
The Maison Delas et frères was founded in 1835 in Tournon-sur-Rhône. Managed by the Delas family until 1977, the estate was bought by the family-owned company Champagnes Deutz.
It is therefore Fabrice who is at the helm of Deutz/Delas today.
The Domaine Delas Frères cultivates several plots in different appellations. The estate now covers 32 hectares: 10 hectares in Hermitage, 17 hectares in Crozes-Hermitage and 2 hectares in Saint-Joseph. The Domaine owns vines that are about 40 years old and harvests by hand.
