Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss is one of the great references of biodynamic Alsace. Located in Andlau, at the foot of the Vosges massif, halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar, the estate cultivates its vines on a terroir whose history stretches back more than twelve hundred years — legend has it that in the 9th century, Pope Leo IX, of Alsatian origin, had the Vatican cellars filled with wines from Andlau. Marc Kreydenweiss took over the estate in 1971 and, from the 1980s onwards, began the transition to biodynamics — a pioneer in Alsace, he co-founded the Biodyvin syndicate alongside Didier Dagueneau and Henri Jayer.

In 2008, his son Antoine Kreydenweiss took over the running of the estate. He has forged his own path, in rigorous continuity with his father's foundations, bringing a fresh sensibility focused on the most direct possible expression of the three Grands Crus of Andlau: Kastelberg, Wiebelsberg and Moenchberg. Since 2020, all the estate's wines have been made exclusively from grapes grown in the family vineyard — 13.5 hectares cultivated using biodynamic methods.
