Gewurztraminer is an emblematic grape variety of Alsace wines, renowned for its highly aromatic character and richness. It is distinguished by intense aromas of lychee, rose, spices, and exotic fruits, making it a very expressive wine, often opulent and full-bodied.
Primarily cultivated in Alsace, where it benefits from a dry and sunny climate, Gewurztraminer produces wines that can be dry, semi-sweet or even sweet, particularly in late harvest (Vendanges Tardives) and noble rot (Sélections de Grains Nobles) wines.
The Domaine Dirler-Cadé, located in Bergholtz, makes remarkable use of it. Practicing biodynamic viticulture, they cultivate Gewurztraminer on high-quality terroirs, producing rich, balanced, and deep wines.
