Jean-Marc Quarin June - 2008

Here is a 2004 that I consider superior to the 2003. Whether one decants the wine or not, it truly possesses a great nose, which proves that when it's good, it's good! Fresh, floral, complex and seductive. Very beautiful entry on the palate, the wine develops full, rich, juicy, subtle and complete. It caresses and superbly occupies the mid-palate. It finishes with floral aromas of violet, but also ripe and fresh fruits, long and truly irresistible. Its subtlety brings it closer to a Burgundy. This is a superb achievement.

Tom Cannavan January - 2005

Deep, intense colour with ruby highlights. The nose reveals a subtle incense note, with hints of cedar oak over complex, tightly-knit red and black fruit. Smooth, creamy oak dominates the palate, which is medium to full-bodied, with an intense, deep, and resonant core of cherry and plum, enveloped by a burst of vanilla and a liquorice finish. The tannins are supple but tenacious and dry, and this wine offers beautiful harmony and length.

Displaying a ripe colour, this wine offers aromas of earth, spice, undergrowth, and black cherry. Medium-bodied and ready to drink, this rounded, easy-to-appreciate wine should be enjoyed quickly to preserve its fruit.

Nose of chocolate, berries, and citrus. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a fresh, clean finish. Not overpowering, but slightly lacking in concentration.

A very dark crimson red. Very simple and a little raw. So austere and ungenerous! It's only fruit, not love. Sorry to be so metaphorical, but it really is ordinary.
