CHÂTEAU LATOUR 1962
CHÂTEAU LATOUR 1962
If several bottles are in stock, the photo is non-contractual and illustrates the condition of the bottle.

The 1962 Château Latour is of good quality but has always been in the shadow of the 1961 which was exceptional. Château Latour 1962 is very interesting to taste. A creamy caramel nose, supple and vigorous on the palate with a slight acidity that balances the whole. This Premier Grand Cru Classé is harmonious and serious.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
. Latour continues to be one of the great vintages for this chateau. A dense opaque garnet color reveals amber at the edge, as well as an incredible perfume of cedar wood, balsam, coffee, black fruits, leather, and cigar smoke. The wine is supple and full-bodied, with sweet tannin, glorious levels of fruit and extract, abundant glycerin, and a seductive, truffle-flavored finish. While it has been drinkable for two decades, it is capable of lasting another 20 years. It is a perfectly balanced, exciting Latour that remains undervalued as well as underrated.

Château Latour
Château Latour

Château Latour is a Bordeaux wine estate producing wines under the Pauillac appellation. First Growth in the Official Bordeaux Wine Classification created in 1855. It is undeniably a reference in the Médoc.

Created around 1680, the Château Latour vineyard is one of the oldest in the Médoc. At the heart of the estate, the main plot, called "l'Enclos", consists of 47 hectares of old vines that are preciously maintained, as they are the only ones capable of giving birth to the "Grand Vin". The 18 hectares of external plots, vine stocks less than 10 years old and potentially declassified wines produce the estate's second wine, "Les Forts de Latour". Château Latour wine is an example of consistency regardless of the vintage quality. Firm, tannic and concentrated in its youth...

Latour is the very example of excellence, in both good and bad years. Among the greatest vintages, the château's finest achievements: 1920, 1929, 1949, 1955, 1959, 1961, 1970, 1982, 1990, 2000.
