Great wine and still fresh, power and the typical Latour taste, which I love. The bottle storage was excellent. I would have given two or three more points, but the taste is little green and unripe like many 93. Better pair it with food.

More supple than its brawnier big brother, this wine possesses moderate tannin, as well as a medium-bodied, slightly austere personality.

Blood red colour. Medium intensity. Black highlights. Signs of evolution. A somewhat curious nose. Notes of old wood and dead leaves. Very smooth on the attack, the wine develops fat and juicy, and this viscous character is very rare in this vintage. Slow tannic evolution, rather savoury and with a fine length. A pleasant wine, already showing some age on the nose, but very satisfying on the palate. Ready to drink.

Château Latour

Château Latour is one of the most iconic estates of the Pauillac appellation and a founding reference in the history of Bordeaux viticulture. Its name appears as early as the 14th century, linked to the presence of a watchtower on the Gironde estuary, whose proximity still profoundly shapes the identity of the vineyard. As early as the 18th century, the wines of Château Latour were recognised for their consistency and their capacity for ageing, establishing themselves among the greatest wines of the Médoc.

Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in the official 1855 classification, Château Latour holds a central place at the very top of the Bordeaux hierarchy. The estate is built on a particularly homogeneous terroir of deep gravels, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which lends the wines a powerful structure, remarkable depth and a great consistency of expression.

The signature of Château Latour is defined by a dense tannic architecture and an exacting construction, favouring precision and longevity over immediate seduction. The estate has withdrawn from en primeur sales: it keeps its bottles at the property and releases them only at maturity. This patience is evident in its legendary years — from the 1945 vintage to the wine of 1961, from 1982 to 1990 through to 2009 — all of which illustrate the estate's ability to express with consistency the excellence of the Pauillac terroir and the singularity of its style.
