If several bottles are in stock, the photo is non-contractual and illustrates the condition of the bottle.

The 1984 vintage seemed rather mixed at Château Latour. However, this impression faded over the decades. Today, the Château Latour 1984 is tasty. The tannins have softened with time and aging in the cellar. The result is a fine and elegant wine, full of finesse.

Jean-Marc Quarin November - 2018
Jean-Marc Quarin
Evolved color, of low intensity. Moderately aromatic and very reduced nose. Nuances of coffee and cream. On the palate the body is there, the taste too. However, the finish ends a bit dry, even if aroma persists behind. Correct for the vintage. Should have been drunk.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
Garnet core with degradated brick rim. A nose has moderate intensity: roasted herbs, truffles and black rustic fruit. More vigour and intensity than Mouton. The palate is well-knit with typical pencil-lead, cedar flavours. Perhaps somewhat four-square.

A slightly unripe wine, but still good. Amber-red color. Aromas of peat, iodine and tobacco. Medium-bodied, with tea, herb and tobacco flavors. Light finish.

Château Latour
Château Latour

Château Latour is one of the most iconic estates in the Pauillac appellation and a founding reference in Bordeaux wine history. Its name dates back to the 14th century, linked to the presence of a watchtower on the Gironde estuary, whose proximity continues to profoundly mark the identity of the vineyard. From the 18th century onwards, the wines of Château Latour have been recognised for their consistency and ageing ability, establishing themselves among the greatest wines of the Médoc.

Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in the official 1855 classification, Château Latour occupies a central position at the pinnacle of the Bordeaux hierarchy. The estate is built upon particularly homogeneous deep gravel terroir, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives the wines a powerful structure, remarkable depth and great consistency of expression.

The signature of Château Latour is distinguished by a dense tannic architecture and demanding construction, favouring precision and longevity over immediate appeal. Iconic vintages such as Château Latour 1945, Château Latour 1961, Château Latour 1990, Château Latour 1996, Château Latour 2000 and Château Latour 2009 illustrate the estate's ability to consistently express the excellence of the Pauillac terroir and the singularity of its style.
