Jancis Robinson November - 2013
Jancis Robinson
I tasted the likely blend although it may well all go into the classic bottling, as it has in 2011. 90% Murets (alluvial fluvio-glaciaires and pebbles) and 10% Hermite (loess plateau and clay-sand silt). Half from 100-year-old vines and the other half 50 years old. Much less aromatically expressive than the regular Hermitage Blanc. All potential and acidity rather than the openness of the regular.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
Released in February and reminiscent of the forward and charming 2007, the 2012 Hermitage Ex Voto Blanc is a huge, sexy beast that has loads of mid-palate density, full-bodied richness and terrific notes of orange marmalade, caramelised peaches, honeysuckle and rose petals. It has moderate acidity, yet I suspect will age on its extract and concentration.

Wine Spectator November - 2016

This offers a jaw-dropping display of white peach, creamed Jonagold apple, Cavaillon melon and persimmon fruit flavours intertwined with citronella, chamomile, singed macadamia nut and salted butter notes. Remarkably creamy in feel and seriously long, delivering echoes of citrus oil and smoke. Hard to resist now, but this isn't going anywhere for a while. Best from 2017 through 2032.

Domaine Guigal
Domaine Guigal

The Domaine E. Guigal has established itself as one of the absolute references of the Rhône Valley, both northern and southern. Founded in 1946 in Ampuis by Étienne Guigal, the family estate has built its reputation on an exacting interpretation of terroirs and a constant pursuit of excellence. Today led by Marcel and Philippe Guigal, the domaine embodies a heritage vision of great wine, recognised on an international scale.

Historically established in Ampuis, Maison Guigal vinifies and ages in its cellars the entire range of great northern Rhône appellations, including Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage. This same site also ensures the ageing of emblematic southern appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, guaranteeing perfect control of the ageing process and a coherent stylistic identity.

Closely associated with Côte-Rôtie, where it produces some of the most emblematic cuvées of the Rhône, Domaine E. Guigal distinguishes itself through wines of remarkable depth and longevity. Vintages that have become references, such as Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Turque 1985, Guigal La Landonne 1990, Guigal La Landonne 1989, Guigal Hermitage Ex-Voto 2003, Guigal La Mouline 1999, Guigal La Landonne 1989, Guigal Côte-Rôtie La Mouline 2010, Guigal La Mouline 2018 testify to the quality consistency and exceptional ageing potential of the estate.
