From a good, rather cool cellar. Typical bordeaux nose with plenty of blueberries, cassis, cigar box and sous-bois. the fruit is still here and shining, very precise and compact. On the palate smooth and sexy. Fresh and elegant. The fruit and the acidity are rocking the palate, accompanied by some tertiary aromas such as tobacco and pencil lead. Tannins still there but very soft. Drink now and enjoy. this is a beauty right now.

Château Brane-Cantenac is one of the great names of the Margaux appellation, classified as a Second Grand Cru Classé in the official 1855 classification. Located on the gravelly plateau of Cantenac, in the heart of the Médoc, this wine embodies the elegance, aromatic precision and tannic finesse characteristic of the great Margaux wines.

The estate's history dates back to the 18th century, but its modern identity was established in the early 19th century when Baron Jacques-Maxime de Brane acquired the property and gave it his name. Known at the time as the "Napoleon of the vines", he helped elevate the cru among the Médoc's finest references. For several generations, the Lurton family has overseen the estate, pursuing a constant quest for precision and parcel expression.

The vineyard lies on hillcrests of deep gravel mixed with sand and clay, a terroir particularly favourable to Cabernet Sauvignon, the majority grape variety in the blend. This composition gives Château Brane-Cantenac wines a straight structure, refined aromatic intensity and remarkable ageing potential.
