Château Pichon Longueville Baron
Château Pichon Longueville Baron is one of the great names of the Pauillac appellation, classified as a 2nd grand cru classé in the 1855 classification. A neighbour of Latour, this gravelly estate has reclaimed its place at the top since its acquisition by AXA Millésimes in 1987: its grand vin, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, captivates with its depth, its aromas of blackcurrant, cedar and tobacco, and its remarkable ageing potential.
From the great successes of the late 1980s, such as the 1989, to the 1982 that has become legendary, through to more recent vintages such as the 2005 wine or the 2012 vintage, the wines of Château Pichon Longueville Baron rank among the most sought-after Pauillacs. The estate complements its grand vin with two second wines, Les Tourelles de Longueville and Les Griffons de Pichon Baron.
