Château Leoville Las Cases

Château Léoville Las Cases is one of the most iconic estates in the Saint-Julien appellation, renowned for the precision, depth and longevity of its wines. Classified as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé in 1855, it has distinguished itself for over a century through an uncompromising level of quality and consistency that places it at the very top of the Médoc hierarchy.

Originating from the former Léoville estate, the Château Léoville Las Cases vineyard is today protected by a historic enclosure — a rare distinction in Bordeaux — which guarantees a strong parcel identity. Situated on the immediate banks of the Gironde, facing the great terroirs of Pauillac, the estate benefits from a privileged environment conducive to slow, even ripening of the grapes.

The Grand Vin, often austere in its youth, requires many years of cellaring and boasts numerous highlights: the 1982 vintage, 1990 and the 1996 vintage among the great classics, 2000, the 2005 wine and the 2010 vintage for the more recent period. Alongside it, the Clos du Marquis, a wine in its own right sourced from neighbouring plots, and Le Petit Lion, a more approachable second wine, complete the estate's range.
