(2-1993) The 1990 is noticeably less concentrated than the 1989. The bouquet offers aromas of tobacco, coffee, mocha, and red fruits intertwined with scents of new oak. In the mouth, the wine is medium-bodied, moderately endowed, and admirably pure, with moderate tannins and crisp acidity - unusual for a 1990.

(8-1989) Delicious, mellow red. Very pretty blackberry, cherry and green tobacco. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a soft and lightly fruited finish.

Château la Fleur Petrus
Château la Fleur Petrus
Neighbour of Petrus, Château La Fleur-Pétrus is a remarkable Pomerol, refined and round, one of the greatest Pomerols, absolutely essential and still accessible, if one can say so. The terroir of Château La Fleur-Pétrus plays its role fully, with deep gravel soil that gives the wine a natural elegance and finesse. The Cabernet Franc, used in greater quantity, gives superb results, with wines that need almost ten years of aging!
