Jean-Marc Quarin March - 1995
Jean-Marc Quarin
Dark red colour. Good intensity. Slight evolution. Lovely. Nose of medium intensity. Discreet. (Very recent bottling). More open when swirled. More fruity. More refined. Gentle and quite smooth attack, developing on a straight-formed structure, with a fine mouthfeel. Slow evolution on a body of medium to good concentration, creamy, towards a sapid and melting finish with superbly enveloped and nuanced tannicity. Good persistence, where the tannin is no longer felt, on complex flavours.

Well-balanced. Medium to light-bodied, it is elegant, medium-intensity, and has a very attractive fruity core. Soft tannins contribute to its pleasant taste.

Château la Fleur Petrus
Château la Fleur Petrus
Neighbour of Petrus, Château La Fleur-Pétrus is a remarkable Pomerol, refined and round, one of the greatest Pomerols, absolutely essential and still accessible, if one can say so. The terroir of Château La Fleur-Pétrus plays its role fully, with deep gravel soil that gives the wine a natural elegance and finesse. The Cabernet Franc, used in greater quantity, gives superb results, with wines that need almost ten years of aging!
