In Bordeaux, the year had a bad start with unstable weather conditions, but the weather was particularly mild in September, which helped save the harvests. The 2004 Bordeaux red wines are classic and of good quality. While the Bordeaux white wines are fresher and fruitier. Burgundy also suffered from very difficult weather conditions. It's worth noting that the white wines are more successful than the red wines, with fresh, balanced and floral wines.
