Somber red. Intense. Black. Clean. Fine. Fruity. Fresh and profound. Nuanced. It is most likely that I am tasting one of the most accomplished, best sucesses in a difficult vintage. First, it enchants by its precision of its entrance in the mouth, its suaveness, before beginning a bit more slender. For a few seconds it reminds me that 2002 is not a good vintage for limestone terroirs. At that moment, I forget about its body and I remain captivated by its strong aroma of violet and licorice. The wines perfumes the mouth, has a long finish, very fresh, fruity and a bit woody. Very original.

This is tight right now and needs bottle age to open up. Yet with decanting it reveals blackberry, vanilla, spices and cherries. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. Finely crafted.
