Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Smoke, cherry blossom, truffle and dark cherry aromas open the perfume. There is a good level of richness, minerality, depth of flavor, freshness and color that’s present from start to finish. Give this a few years and it should show better. From 100% Merlot, the wine was produced from yields of only 8 hectoliters per hectare. The wine reached 13.7% alcohol with a pH of 3.35 and is aging in 100% new French oak. 92-94

Deep dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, opaque core, delicate water edge. Delicate spices, precious wood and licorice, black cherries, attractive smoky nuances. Juicy, red berries, delicate sweetness, lively acidity, rich in finesse, salty finish, delicate chocolatey nuances in the finale, delicate style, good potential.

Vertdevin April - 2014

A pretty delicious and fruity wine. The nose shows notes of cherry, dark berries (blackberry particular) associated with notes of sweet spices (especially vanilla) and a small wooded area. Freshness, good structure and a little creamy in the mouth. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis, cherry and raspberry accompanied slightly spicy. The tannins are well done. The final takes notes of fruits and spices.

Plump, bright and floral. Lots packed in here, surrounded by pleasant grainy tannin. Moderate length but super purity and good ageing potential for the medium term.

Ruby red; Compact, rich in extracts, intense fruit notes, dense, lots of tart tannins, lots of wood too, but also some substance. Find your balance a bit.

This sports exotic singed wood, spice and cocoa aromas followed by a hefty core of boysenberry and blackberry confiture flavors. There's ample brambly grip on the long, spice-infused finish. Exhibits good gusto, but there's also a seriously impressive core of pure fruit buried here. Best from 2018 through 2028
