Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
Proprietor Stefan von Neipperg continues to lavish abundant attention on La Mondotte (as he does with all his estates), and the 2000 boasts an inky/blue/purple colour in addition to gorgeous aromas of graphite, caramel, toast, blackberries, and crème de cassis. A floral component also emerges as the wine sits in the glass. Extremely dense, full-bodied, and built for another twenty years of cellaring, I thought it would be close to full maturity, but it appears to need another 4-5 years of bottle age. It should age effortlessly for 2-3 decades.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Just gorgeous. Texturally this is rich, silky and showy. The fruit is sweet, ripe and generous. Full-bodied, concentrated, long and vibrant, the finish is long and intense. This is just now entering its prime time window.

Wow! Super complex and drinking fabulously. Hints of tobacco, blackberry, tar. Great balance. No need to wait but has at least 5 years left.

Jean-Marc Quarin September - 2014
Jean-Marc Quarin
Dark colour, good intensity and slightly evolved. Truffled nose. Strawberry notes. Lovely, very flavoursome entry on the palate. The wine develops perfumed, melting, with flavour and fine tannins. Lovely liquorice and silky finish, combining maturity and freshness. Very good.
