Jancis Robinson September - 2026

Garnet hue. Riper notes and a greater expression of fruit. More charm and fragrance. Full, fleshy yet fresh on the palate. Much-improved tannin quality. A pleasure now, but with more still to give.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Aromas of currants, cedar, tobacco leaves, smoke, flowers and spice open up the wine. On the palate, it is fresh, vibrant and silky, with a pleasant spicy note accompanying the ripe plums and currants right through to the finish. A pleasure to taste now, it will only improve with a few more years of age.

Château Giscours
Château Giscours

Château Giscours is a Bordeaux wine estate located in Labarde in the Gironde. Château Giscours produces wines under the Margaux AOC. It is among the Third Growth classified in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification, and is one of the largest estates in the Médoc. The vineyard covers nearly 86 hectares on a 300-hectare property. Giscours thus continues the legacy of generations of winemakers, making this estate a world-renowned Grand Cru.

Note the existence of a flawless second wine: La Sirène de Giscours.

The best vintages of Giscours are the 1945 wines, the 1961, 1982 and 1989 vintages which are excellent. Finally, the 1990 vintage, the grand crus from 2000 and 2009 as well as the 2015 vintage are among the Château's finest achievements.
