A highly expressive if ever-so-slightly stewed nose offers up spice and notes of dried rose petal and no obvious rot though at this point there is plenty of the expected sous-bois aromas. The medium weight and slightly thinning flavors culminate in a rather tannic, dry and somewhat astringent finish that reflects a bit of hail taint. This is pleasant enough with impressive richness.
