Jancis Robinson September - 2022
Jancis Robinson
Meaty, succulent and intense on the nose, showing layers of ripe red and black fruits with a real hit of smoked bacon. The tannins are ripe, as would be expected in this warm vintage, but the freshness is the most impressive element to this wine. Silky and precise, it shows a balance between rosemary, white pepper, pink peppercorns and generous blueberries and forest fruit. Delicious now, but there is no rush.

Wine Spectator November - 2013
Wine Spectator
A stunner, with captivating damson plum, bitter cherry, blood orange and blackberry fruit all melded together and lined with savory, black olive, rosemary and saucisson sec notes. The finish delivers mouthwatering cut, with an iron frame that should carry this easily for two decades. A distinctive and singular expression of old-school Côte-Rôtie.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Clearly, the wine and I have improved since I lasted it, as this is a knockout bottle! The nose, with its smoked cherry, crushed stone, leafy herb, tobacco, and red fruits. Concentrated, balanced, fresh, and showy, the distinctive character and lush quality in the long finish ties everything together.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
Possessing more stuffing than the '12 (but maybe not its purity and seamlessness), the 2009 Cote Rotie offers tons of cassis, black raspberry, incense, peppery herbs and violets in a ripe, full-bodied, richly textured style. It shows the warmth of the vintage, yet still has plenty of Cote Rotie flair. Although, those craving the more perfumed, elegant side to Cote Rotie will need to give this another 5-7 years in the cellar as it's showing mostly fruit at the moment.

SoDivin October - 2019

Very nice deep wine with a powerful, structured and fiery nose. In the mouth there is a strong contrast, we are on the fineness. Very fragrant, floral with notes of violets. Still fruit. A beautiful Côte-Rôtie that can still easily wait 2-3 years.
