Somewhat closed bouquet, opens up with nuances of liquorice, blackcurrant, a hint of ethereal notes, fresh blackberry compote, floral touch of violet, a subtle undertone of fine wood. Juicy and elegant, fine sweetness of extract, ripe heart cherries, good balance, salty-citrus touch, feels very lively, fresh and invigorating, red-berry touch on the finish, light-footed delicate style, a wine of great finesse from a "lesser" vintage. Not as intense as some but well balanced and very fresh acidity. I like it although acid-phobes might not. Rather sinewy and lissome. Just a suggestion of inkiness.

The great Chilean wine from the Rothschilds finds in the burning personality of Count Almaviva a faithful mirror of its ardor and purity. If Rosina's lover inspired the genius of Mozart and Rossini, there is no doubt that Mouton Rothschild's Chilean brother will also take your breath away with all its flamboyance! A remarkable marriage between the Bordeaux tradition of the Rothschilds and the magnificent sun-drenched terroirs of Chile. Dense and deep color with purple reflections. The very fruity nose opens with notes of cherry and blueberry, with a subtle and delicate hint of raspberry, bringing beautiful originality and great aromatic complexity. The palate is very round, with supple and coated tannins, melted into a set of multiple flavors where beautiful fruity notes of black cherry and more exotic notes of cocoa and spices are expressed in turn. Rich and flavorful finish, combining all the fullness of a generous grape variety and the powerful character of the best Chilean terroirs of the Valle Central.
