Rich tawny coloured. Still sweet, but surely softened with the age. Nicely developed with honeyed notes as well as some tea characteristics and butter cookies. Great warm finish to end the flight.

Château Suduiraut
Château Suduiraut

Château Suduiraut is a Bordeaux wine estate covering 200 hectares, including 92 hectares of vineyards in the commune of Preignac on soil composed mainly of sandy-clay gravel, which produces a sweet white wine. Premier cru classé of Sauternes, it is considered by many as one of the best Sauternes.

The wines of Château Suduiraut are among the greatest Sauternes. Their longevity is exceptional. As they age, the aromas of candied fruits slowly take over from the citrus notes found in the early years. The estate recommends decanting old vintages to enhance the fragrances. The Château also produces a second wine: Castelnau de Suduiraut.
