(4-1995). Exotically perfumed violet and rose petals burst on your palate, accompanied by dried apricot, lemon and honey flavors. Gorgeous and subtle, glowing on the finish.

Luminous copper. Full and round and very opulent. Round and full and clean and open on the nose. Though not desperately subtle. More almonds on the nose. Very round, not especially complex but clean and bumptious and again with a slightly burnt undertow. Full finish, rather opulent and exciting.

(7-1997). Golden yellow. Green reflections. Precise. Medium intensity. Discreet. Notes of straw, dried flowers. Fruity. More open. More marsala. Fresher. Lime. Impression of being closed. Notes of tea, curry. Soft and smooth attack, developing on a structure of good concentration, which evolves powerfully, on a slightly woody flavour after the mid-palate and finishes on the fruit, long and powerful, with a floral return in the aroma.

Château Suduiraut
Château Suduiraut

Château Suduiraut is a Bordeaux wine estate covering 200 hectares, including 92 hectares of vineyards in the commune of Preignac on soil composed mainly of sandy-clay gravel, which produces a sweet white wine. Premier cru classé of Sauternes, it is considered by many as one of the best Sauternes.

The wines of Château Suduiraut are among the greatest Sauternes. Their longevity is exceptional. As they age, the aromas of candied fruits slowly take over from the citrus notes found in the early years. The estate recommends decanting old vintages to enhance the fragrances. The Château also produces a second wine: Castelnau de Suduiraut.
