Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Full-bodied, dense, and firm, it's just beginning to reveal secondary nuances of tobacco, cedar, undergrowth, herbs, and red fruits. Still young, but clearly in great shape, this wine is concentrated and firm, with a softening tannic edge. So give it another 5 years and enjoy it over the next 20 years or more. This wine is a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and 12% Cabernet Franc.

Tasted blind. Dark crimson. High toned. Spearmint note. Sweet start. Not one of the most refreshing although there is certainly no shortage of tannin. The finish is just a little messy.

Adrian van Velsen - vvWine
Slightly mature ruby-red robe, still gleaming. Complex on the nose, it reveals early aromas of ripe blackberries and garrigue herbs, accompanied by leather, tobacco and autumn leaves. Still fresh in the mouth, medium-bodied, it unfolds and envelops the tongue with finely woven and already well-integrated tannins. A lively acidity brings freshness and leads the wine to a pleasantly long finish. This Langoa seems to have reached its ideal maturity, whilst still retaining sufficient structure for further ageing.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The medium to deep garnet coloured 2009 Langoa Barton is scented of warm red and black plums, dried mulberries and blackcurrant cordial with touches of dried mint and new leather. Medium to full-bodied with a solid frame of grainy tannins and bold freshness, it has loads of red and black berry preserves layers on the long, savoury finish.

Château Langoa Barton
Château Langoa Barton
The châteaux Langoa and Léoville Barton are located on the land of the SAINT JULIEN appellation, a marvellous land for vineyards. Due to its geographical location and climate, everything is in place to produce exceptional wines, both in terms of quality and elegance. The châteaux Langoa and Léoville Barton have the great privilege of being right at the heart of this region. Langoa Barton is almost at the highest level of Médoc growths. However, Langoa Barton never appears to be the most concentrated, powerful or impressive of wines: no, Langoa Barton is always one of the most civilised and balanced, reflecting this family that straddles two great and ancient cultures.
