Jancis Robinson February - 2019

Tasted blind. Particularly deep, evolved colour. Blackish ruby. Rather beautiful, mature nose. And then still quite a bit of tannin on the palate. You could drink this with food but you'd be well advised to wait – even though it's softer than most.

Deep red. Ripe and indulgent nose where the fruit blends with spicy notes. On the palate, a full and dense wine with fine tannins. The finish presents the characteristic roundness and aromatic persistence of a great wine. Full of promise for the future.

Château Haut Marbuzet

Château Haut-Marbuzet is a 61-hectare wine estate owned by the Duboscq family, located in Saint-Estèphe. It is a Médoc AOC and is classified as an exceptional Cru Bourgeois. The work of the Duboscq family has made Château Haut-Marbuzet a wine of the highest quality among Saint-Estèphe wines. Château Haut Marbuzet is also full of charm in its youth, developing wonderful spicy notes and red fruit aromas. Considered by some as the most Burgundian of Bordeaux wines, Château Haut Marbuzet was consecrated as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel during the revision of the Crus Bourgeois classification in June 2003.
