Founded in 1770, Château Haut-Marbuzet is one of the oldest estates in its appellation. However, it only achieved success in 1952 when Hervé Duboscq acquired the Château. From 1962, his son Henri joined him and produced wines with a personalized, silky style that surprised in the traditionally classic context of Saint-Estèphe.
The harvest is done by hand, with a very strict selection of ripe to very ripe grapes. The vinification is conducted with traditional equipment: concrete or wooden vats temperature-controlled by heat exchanger. The aging is done in 100% new barrels for 18 months. Special attention is paid to the choice of barrels for each vintage.
