(6-2010) Very rich and nuanced. Extremely luscious and hedonistic.

Wine Spectator
(7-20107) There's a high-toned minty graphite accent to the aroma, with a citric edge on the palate. The structure is overlaid with lemon and bread dough notes. This is tight and crisp on the finish, so break out the sole or shellfish, or wait a few years.

Dom Perignon
Dom Perignon

Dom Pérignon is the prestige cuvée of the Moët & Chandon house, in Champagne. Born in the wake of the Hautvillers abbey, it follows a unique rule: to exist only as a vintage wine, from a single harvest year, in a blend of chardonnay and pinot noir sourced from the great terroirs around Épernay. A long ageing on lees gives it its fine bubble and its style that is at once powerful and refined.

From 1921, the very first vintage of the house, to the 2006 wine, Dom Pérignon lines up champagnes built for long ageing: the 1969, the 1993 vintage, the Dom Pérignon 1996 and the 2002 rank among the house's benchmark wines.
