Plenty of dark black currant fruit left but also some wet leaves and barnyard. Good acidity and refined tannins. Overall, a wine in a good balance. Starting to go a bit downhill but still a very lovely wine!

Subtle intensity in this wine. Interesting aromas of minerals, berries and smoke. Medium- to full-bodied, with polished tannins and a long, sweet fruit finish. Very pretty.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
Fully mature, this is the first in a succession of impressive wines to emerge from this estate. Dark plum/ruby with some pink at the edge, the intoxicatingly heady nose of sweet, toasty oak, jammy black currants and cherries, licorice, fruitcake, and spice box soars from the glass. Medium to full-bodied, opulent, with gorgeously pure fruit, a nicely layered texture, and a long finish, this wine is just hitting its apogee.

Clos De L'Oratoire St Emilion
The vineyard of Clos de l'Oratoire is located on the northeastern slope of Saint-Emilion. The terroir of Clos de l'Oratoire, made of Fronsac molasse, covering 10.32 hectares, consists of a sandy substratum and clay subsoil. The terroir of Clos de l'Oratoire is particularly suitable for Merlot (90%), Cabernet Franc (5%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) grape varieties. Merlot gives the wine roundness and opulence. Cabernet Franc provides power, aromatic complexity, and a beautiful length on the palate.
