Adrian van Velsen - vvWine
Intense Bordeaux red, slightly lightened rim. Intensely fragrant nose, masculine, peat, smoke, cedar, damp foliage, behind dark cherries and blackberry, good to very good complexity. On the palate full-bodied, feels very mature here, distinct death sweetness, some Christmas spice, still subtle tannin, a certain structure is present, yet overall the wine feels somewhat worn, too low acidity, a slightly brandy-like finish. A powerful wine with little finesse. Could certainly age further, but this will most likely not improve. Drink now to 2030, 17.5 points, (89/100)
